: What You Need to Arrange

Congratulations! 🎉 Below you’ll find a short and clear overview of what to do when you’re expecting a child. This helps you and Baseflow to keep everything running smoothly. You can also find the official leave arrangements that apply at Baseflow on this page

Parental Leave Policy at Baseflow

  1. As soon as you feel ready: let your team lead, Harry, and Chantal know that a little one is on the way.
  2. For mothers: at least 3 weeks before your leave starts, share the due date and your preferred start date of maternity leave (including a statement from your midwife/doctor).
  3. For partners: at least 4 weeks in advance, let us know when you plan to take paternity leave and if you’d like to request additional leave.
  4. Together with your team lead, make clear agreements about handing over your work.
  5. After the birth: share the actual date with your team lead, Harry and Chantal so your leave can be officially recorded.
  6. Enjoy your leave! This is a very special time. We’ll keep warm contact while you’re away.
  7. When you return: we’ll plan a chat together to make sure you can ease back into work comfortably.

💡 Tip: always confirm things in writing (an email is fine), so everything is clear for everyone.
